Here is a small collection of various crimes and punishments that do not really fit in with the Ten Commandments.


Those filled with unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, backbiters, hate for god, despite, proud, boasters, inventions of evil things, disobedience to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, unnatural affection, implacable or unmerciful nature: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death.   Romans 1:29-32

Prostitution was outlawed but no punishment is listed.  Leviticus 19:29 ; Deuteronomy 23:17

A man raping a single woman could be forced to marry the victim (relinquishing the right to divorce) and pay her father the marriage present, but no punishment was required.   Deuteronomy 22:28-29

Seducing an unengaged virgin, results in the same as above except that no mention is made of divorce and the father could still be paid the marriage present if he disallowed the wedding.   Exodus 22:16-17

Sex with father’s wife.  Death for both of them.  Leviticus 20:11   Deuteronomy 27:20

Sex with daughter-in-law.  Death for both of them.  Leviticus 20:12

Man lies with a male as those who lie with a woman.  Death for both.  Leviticus 20:13   Leviticus 18:22

Marry a woman and her mother.  All three shall be burned with fire.  Leviticus 20:14   Deuteronomy 27:22-23

Sexual relations with animals.  Death for both of them.  Leviticus 20:15-16   Leviticus 18:23   Exodus 22:19  Deuteronomy 27:21

See your sister’s nakedness.  Banishment for both.  Leviticus 20:17

Sex with a menstruating woman.  Banishment for both.  Leviticus 20:18

See your aunt’s nakedness.  Guilt?  Leviticus 20:19

Sex with uncle’s wife.  Sterility.  Leviticus 20:20

Sex with brother’s wife.  Sterility.  Leviticus 20:21
